Points to consider
• These aren't ‘payment declined’ or some kind of critical error.
• Keep the messages light and on-brand.
• Usernames can only contain letters and numbers.
• The error messages themselves should be no more than 100 characters.
GuerillaBox is a new service that centralizes a person’s or business’s communication channels with their customers. My job was to create new error messages for the scenarios below while using GuerillaBox’s brand voice.
• Invalid email
• Email already exists
• Invalid password
• Invalid username
• Username already exists
• Pop-up/error message explaining that they’ve used all of their boxes on the free plan
GuerillaBox’s voice is that of an experienced and compassionate business partner. We use a conversational voice and play with language to bring joy to the workplace. We are plainspoken, genuine, and a bit quirky. We prefer subtle, dry humor.
